For the last 28 years God has been preparing us for this season of our lives. We started life together as two, young entrepreneurs who had big dreams! While working our regular jobs we chose to hustle and pursue our passions eventually turning it into an award winning business.

In 1994, we jumped all in as we opened a boutique hotel in a third world country (Humuya Inn). Everyone thought we were crazy, even our banker warned us that “we better succeed because the bank was not interested in owning a hotel”.

This same bank charged 42% interest on our construction loans.  As the years passed we borrowed money from banks, sometimes at 28% interest and more.   I started to think about all the interest we had paid over the years to them.  I kept thinking there has to be a better way and yet we still needed more money to keep the hotel updated and modern.  I didn’t know that there were any other options out there so I just kept doing things like we had always done them.   Until…. I read Nelson’s book and found out there is another way to do financing. 

Since Becoming Our Own Bankers, we have been able to accomplish so much more in less time and with a whole lot less stress.  As a business owner that has made life a lot more enjoyable. 

We enjoy hiking, mountain biking and playing tennis. We love teaching our three daughters, Andrea, Sofia and Gaby, about our journey. As a family we love Honduras and have started Inspirata Foundation is a family run foundation that provides specific and targeted assistance to furthering the health, education, and well-being of the children of Honduras.
